Biography
| Avril Devaney - Director of Nursing, Therapies and Patient Partnership, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP)
Avril began her nursing career in North Lancashire in 1983. She worked in a variety of mental health and drug and alcohol services before becoming a Director in January 2003. CWP provides mental health, learning disability and drug and alcohol services. It was the first trust in the North to become a Foundation Trust in July 2007. Avril has special interest in leadership and organisational change and completed an MSc in Health and Social Care in 2006. Avril’s role includes responsibility for Patient and Public Involvement and membership. She has led CWP’s Challenging Stigma Campaign since it was established in 2004. |
