Biography
| Brian Coupe (Matron) – Chair National Modern Matrons’ Network
Biography • Trained as a nurse in Learning Disabilities in 1981 at Westwood Hospital in Bradford • Career has spanned variety of services in Learning Disability, Mental Health and Senior Management • Spent nearly five years working for a Religious Charity in Merseyside as service manager with responsibility for implementing whole systems approach to Care Standards Act 2000 across the Charity’s services nationally • Led the successful project team in attaining the Excellence North West ‘Achievement Marque’ in 2003 • Returned to NHS employment with Bradford District NHS Care Trust as Modern Matron in 2004. • Founder member and current Chair of National Modern Matrons’ Network Qualifications • RNMH • DMS • MBA |
