Biography
| Gary O’Hare - Director of Nursing Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Trust
Gary is Executive Director of Nursing with Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Trust which is one of the largest Mental Health and Disability Trusts in the UK with an annual spend of circa £275 million. Gary is Board Level Professional Lead for AHP’s and Psychological Services staff and Board Level Lead for the Trust’s Clinical Governance functions. Gary also works for the Department of Health on a part time secondment basis, as Joint Project Lead on the NIMHE/NPSA National Management of Aggression and Violence Project. His role involves leading on a number of national initiatives relating to the recognition, prevention and management of violence, working across Government departments and professional organisations. Gary is a member of: • NIMHE Mental Health Project Board • NIMHE Acute Care Steering Group • NHS Healthcare Professions Forum • IMAS Pool Member |
